Financial Crime Intelligence Analyst – Crypto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Review alerts from sanctions and watchlist screenings related to entities and individuals.

• Oversee comprehensive financial crime investigations arising from transaction monitoring systems, payment screening tools, blockchain analytics providers, and other indicators.

• Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for submission to appropriate authorities.

• Recognize and escalate opportunities to strengthen BVNK’s control framework.

• Collaborate with colleagues managing transaction monitoring systems.

• Identify and evaluate modifications to transaction monitoring rules.

• Present findings and recommendations from investigations to senior stakeholders.

• Address screening and transaction monitoring alerts to avert bad actors from conducting transactions through BVNK.

• Conduct thorough analyses and investigations into intricate financial crime threats.

• Take ownership of cases initiated by BVNK’s financial crime systems and controls, with a primary focus on digital assets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in digital assets transaction monitoring within a regulated organization.

• Background in a B2B context is crucial.

• Familiarity with B2C environments is advantageous.

• Experience in reviewing sanctions and watchlist screening alerts within a regulated institution or digital asset context.

• Proficiency in using Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM, or similar tools is essential.

• Blockchain-related investigative certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in drafting and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

• Capability to function as a motivated and proactive individual contributor.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding setting with competing priorities.

• Competence to work autonomously while managing changing priorities.

• Genuine interest in digital assets.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Availability for a full-time schedule; shifts will be selected during the recruitment process.
