Financial Assistance Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide students on various options for funding their education, including financial aid eligibility, application processes, financial assistance programs, associated costs, debt management, and financial planning.

• Tailor financial aid information to align with each student's unique circumstances and requirements.

• Gather and assess student financial information to establish eligibility for financial aid and allocate awards in accordance with federal, donor, and institutional regulations.

• Review documentation related to unusual or mitigating circumstances and adjust costs, contributions, needs, or dependency statuses as necessary.

• Respond to inquiries regarding financial aid from students, parents, and guardians, both in person and in writing.

• Examine system-generated reports, such as grades, enrollment status, and award status, to ensure ongoing compliance and eligibility.

• Inform students about changes to their award eligibility and present options for rectifying their circumstances.

• Collaborate with students, lenders, employers, and Student Services personnel to address and resolve issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• 2-3 years of relevant experience is required.

• Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training will be considered.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with the CampusVue Student database is preferred.

• Experience with AI tools is preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities are required.

• Ability to quickly learn new methodologies, technologies, and systems.

• Capability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with demanding timelines.

• Must interact effectively with employees, prospective students, and external contacts at all levels, delivering outstanding customer service.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
