
Financial Analyst – Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a financial business partner for the software division.
• Collaborate with Software, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Accounting, Investor Relations, and executive leadership to foster growth, profitability, forecasting, and resource management decisions.
• Create business cases and financial models for investments, pricing strategies, strategic initiatives, and growth prospects.
• Assist with monthly forecasts, annual planning, and long-term strategic planning.
• Evaluate software performance metrics, including recurring revenue, profitability, customer economics, and operational KPIs.
• Utilize SaaS metrics like ARR, MRR, retention, churn, customer profitability, and Rule of 40 to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Develop executive reports, dashboards, and business reviews that clarify results, key drivers, and future outlook.
• Analyze actual outcomes against forecasts, plans, and business cases.
• Provide scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and return evaluations.
• Support earnings, SEC reporting, Board meeting materials, and investor communications.
• Enhance planning, reporting, analytics, data quality, metric governance, and overall business performance.
• Streamline and automate reporting processes, improve Tagetik and associated systems, assist with process enhancements, and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a comparable field.
• Three to seven (3-7) years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, business finance, or a similar area.
• Background in a SaaS or software company environment.
• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, analytical skills, and structured problem-solving.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and financial analysis tools.
• Capability to manage large and intricate datasets while ensuring accuracy and business relevance.
• Exceptional skill in synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication abilities.
• Proven track record of building trusted relationships and influencing decisions across various functional areas.
• High levels of self-motivation, accountability for deliverables, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment effectively.
• Willingness to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy, with verification through an MVR check.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
