This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of and enhance budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, long-term planning, and data analysis.
• Create, sustain, and refine integrated financial models that encompass P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity, investment cases, sensitivities, and growth scenarios.
• Conduct thorough actual-vs-budget/forecast variance analysis, pinpoint underlying operational and financial drivers, challenge assumptions, and suggest corrective measures.
• Provide monthly and quarterly management reporting, KPI dashboards, executive summaries, and additional materials for senior management.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of German HGB accounting and reporting standards, ensuring that management reporting, planning, and financial analysis are in alignment with statutory accounting.
• Collaborate closely with Accounting during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes to guarantee reliable financial data.
• Develop scalable FP&A processes, reporting structures, KPI frameworks, financial controls, and planning methodologies.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support pricing, cost optimization, investment decisions, organizational planning, and other strategic initiatives.
• Establish and track relevant financial and operational KPIs, including revenue, gross margin, OPEX, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, productivity, and other business-specific performance metrics.
• Facilitate the advancement of the Finance function through standardization, automation, internal controls, documentation, governance, and process enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• CFA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Controller qualification, or a similar professional certification is advantageous.
• Experience in FP&A, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, or a similar financial role.
• Strong practical knowledge of German HGB and experience handling financial statements and reporting within a German business context.
• Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, working capital, and financial performance management.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modeling, sensitivity/scenario analysis, and PivotTables.
• Capable of operating effectively in a growing company, including enhancing processes that may initially be manual, fragmented, or inadequate for future organizational needs.
• Strong analytical judgment and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to discern the commercial implications behind financial data.
• Proficient in communicating complex financial concepts clearly and succinctly.
• High level of ownership, independence, and execution discipline; capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in both German and English is essential.
