Financial Analyst – Entry-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Maintain, cleanse, and systematically arrange extensive financial records, ensuring data integrity across ledgers and reporting systems.

• Assist in and conduct daily and monthly reconciliations, which include bank, revenue, and COGS reconciliations.

• Investigate variances and discrepancies thoroughly.

• Provide comprehensive accounting support, including the preparation of journal entries and organization of month-end close documentation.

• Assist in financial modeling and perform statistical analysis.

• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team based on variance analysis and findings from special projects.

• Aid senior analysts in optimizing financial reporting workflows.

• Assist in automating routine reconciliation tasks utilizing tools such as Python or Google Apps Script.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent graduate or currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or a related field.

• Minimum GPA of 3.6.

• Completion of mid-level finance and accounting courses.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a strong focus on data manipulation.

• Exceptional attention to detail, along with problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Comfortable delving deep into data to identify and rectify discrepancies.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to adhere to strict reporting deadlines.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Team-oriented, self-motivated to learn, willing to undertake operational tasks with a positive mindset, and eager to face new challenges.
