Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Generate necessary reports utilizing Housing Manager or MRI software.

• Input budget information into Housing Manager or MRI software.

• Examine client data to create annual budgets for each program type.

• Assess client data to identify the necessity for budget adjustments.

• Draft budget revisions as required.

• Prepare annual operating subsidy submissions.

• Create, review, and submit VMS reports in accordance with HUD regulations and deadlines.

• Conduct VMS reconciliations by analyzing program data, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy between internal records and HUD reporting.

• Accurately prepare and submit additional HUD reports and required filings on time.

• Maintain supporting documentation for budgets, VMS reporting, reconciliations, and HUD submissions for audit and client review.

• Participate in cross-training for other departmental roles as necessary.

• Stay updated on HUD guidance and announcements to ensure compliance with client requirements.

• Familiarity or experience with financial and/or accounting principles.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

• Ability to effectively communicate with accountants and management through verbal or written means.

• Capability to work independently.

• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize tasks.

• High level of dependability, motivation, and adaptability.

• High School diploma or GED.

• Associate's degree is a plus.
