This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as a Business Partner, enhancing performance through KPIs and motivating the business to surpass objectives.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records, integrity, and adherence to policies.
• Implement changes aimed at boosting efficiency, effectiveness, profitability, and cash flow.
• Assist the Line of Business Leader and functional managers in developing business plans, setting priorities, and creating forecasts.
• Advance financial processes, systems, and policies to ensure scalability, accurate data, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
• Take ownership of monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the line of business.
• Guarantee that Revenue, Deferred Revenue, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) are documented and auditable under IFRS 15 at the project level.
• Oversee the accounting and payment processes for sales commissions.
• Manage planning and forecasting cycles, including Quarterly Strategic Reviews (QSR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
• Track and report on Bookings, Backlog, and Book-to-Bill metrics.
• Enhance revenue, profitability, forecasting, cash flow, operational efficiency, and overall performance.
• Ensure precise net revenue recognition and completeness of cost-of-sales in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Conduct reviews of professional services projects, ensuring compliant percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Evaluate risk management processes, standardize policies, and enhance procedures.
• Supervise and refine financial processes and systems within the line of business.
• Provide financial insights to legal teams regarding vendor and customer contracts.
• Collaborate with functional leads on proposals and contract negotiations.
• Lead or contribute to Finance projects focused on implementing systems and process enhancements.
• Offer support to the broader Finance organization during peak periods and holiday coverage.
• Possesses an Accounting Qualification (CPA or equivalent).
• Exhibits proficiency in applying current technical accounting principles.
• Familiarity with project accounting and software accounting principles.
• Capable of analyzing data, providing insightful observations, and making valuable recommendations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to influence leadership both strategically and operationally.
• Willingness and capability to travel internationally occasionally (anticipated to be less than 10%).
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with the business in a partnership role.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with multiple entities, countries, and currencies within a Group organization.
• Proficient in the use of accounting/ERP software and comfortable with Microsoft Office applications.
• Background in software industry accounting, project accounting, and M&A experience is a plus.
