Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, which involves gathering assumptions, creating financial models, consolidating inputs, and analyzing outcomes.

• Generate monthly analyses comparing budgeted figures to actual results and conduct period-over-period comparisons.

• Examine revenue, expenses, headcount, operating results, and other crucial financial and business metrics to uncover trends, risks, opportunities, and areas that need further investigation.

• Create and sustain financial models, schedules, dashboards, and reports that aid in financial planning and business decision-making.

• Collaborate with department leaders to assess financial performance, comprehend variances, oversee spending, and facilitate departmental planning and forecasting.

• Contribute to company-wide KPI analysis and management reporting efforts.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and scenario modeling for business initiatives, investments, operational changes, and strategic choices.

• Aid in cash flow forecasting and other financial planning tasks.

• Help monitor sales bookings, renewals, and contraction data.

• Support Finance and Accounting teams with contract management responsibilities.

• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data while resolving data quality concerns with stakeholders.

• Enhance financial reporting, forecasting, modeling, and analytical processes through efficiency improvements, standardization, and automation.

• Assist Finance leadership with presentations, analyses, and materials needed for executive leadership and key stakeholders.

• Uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive company and financial information appropriately.

• Carry out other duties and special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, accounting, or a similar field.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting processes.

• Working knowledge of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles.

• Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms (such as Netsuite), planning tools, and/or business intelligence applications.

• Background in a SaaS, technology, or fast-paced growth environment is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for interpreting financial data and identifying trends and insights.

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

• Strong business and financial acumen.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and organizational levels.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information.

• Reliable high-speed internet access suitable for professional remote work.

• Ability to maintain a safe, ergonomic, and confidential workspace.

• Capability to perform occasional light physical activities, such as lifting materials or equipment up to 20 pounds.
