Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

• Compile, assess, and verify data utilized in monthly financial reports.

• Aid in variance analysis and the recognition of significant financial trends.

• Evaluate revenue, expenses, and operational performance metrics.

• Support activities related to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

• Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis for leadership and stakeholders.

• Create and sustain dashboards and reporting tools.

• Develop and keep standardized reporting templates.

• Streamline manual reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Monitor and adjust reporting processes as business requirements and systems evolve.

• Deliver timely and precise reporting to assist leadership in decision-making.

• Ensure the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of both financial and operational data.

• Create reconciliation processes and controls to verify data across systems.

• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with Accounting, IT, and operational teams.

• Identify areas for workflow improvement, reporting efficiencies, and data quality enhancement.

• Support initiatives aimed at boosting reporting automation and system utilization.

• Occasional travel may be necessary based on business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Over 2 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, reporting, or business analytics.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

• Proficient in working with large data sets and various systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.

• Experience in financial planning and forecasting is preferred.

• Experience in developing dashboards and automated reporting solutions is preferred.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting tools is preferred.

• Background in supporting multi-site or service-oriented organizations is preferred.

• Knowledge of ERP, accounting, or business intelligence platforms is preferred.
