Financial Aid Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to new, returning, and continuing students on the availability of Title IV funding and resources to support educational expenses.

• Address student inquiries related to the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid as well as Direct Loan Entrance and Exit Counseling.

• Execute verification processes for applications selected by the Department of Education.

• Resolve discrepancies between financial aid documents and other materials found in student files.

• Conduct financial aid estimates for students expressing interest in enrollment.

• Timely submit student files for review by the Campus Compliance Specialist while maintaining a low error rate.

• Collaborate with admissions staff to ensure that prospective enrollments have the necessary documentation for packaging.

• Upload documents into the CampusVue operating system.

• Provide updates to the Campus President regarding students who have yet to submit required documentation for Title IV funding.

• Counsel students on Institutional Payment Plans and assist with the completion of the IPP process when applicable.

• Utilize and monitor activities within CampusVue.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Work closely with the Campus President to enhance the quality and environment of the Financial Aid Department.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED) from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organizational skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven capacity to uphold confidentiality.

• Must not be in default on any federal student loan.

• An Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is preferred.

• Preferably, 1 year of previous experience in Financial Aid.

• Experience with CampusVue is preferred.

• Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk while working on a computer.
