This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver comprehensive financial aid knowledge and insights to new, returning, and continuing students.
• Create, negotiate, and finalize student financial plans in accordance with institutional policies as well as Federal and State regulations.
• Assist students and parents in navigating the application process, including verification, resolving conflicting information, and C Code Resolution.
• Provide counseling to students regarding acceptances and issues related to their financial plans.
• Work collaboratively with Admission Representatives to offer services to prospective students and their families.
• Efficiently and accurately package assigned new, continuing, re-entry, and transfer students.
• Guide students through the necessary financial aid forms, documents, and processes.
• Clearly communicate financial plans, rights regarding aid sources, and responsibilities to students and parents.
• Assist with alternative financing options for any remaining balances after eligible aid has been awarded.
• Ensure student files are complete and accurate, and that aid is disbursed in a timely manner.
• Review ISIRs, request necessary documents, and conduct verification as well as C Code reviews.
• Utilize reports to evaluate student cases, analyze the required work, and independently prioritize tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service while accurately explaining aid and account statuses.
• Support special projects and perform other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an Associate’s Degree combined with 3 years of related experience in federal and student financial aid, or 5 years of relevant experience in federal and student aid.
• Experience in financial aid or accounting is essential.
• Required experience in customer service and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Capability to make small group presentations and engage in one-on-one interactions.
• Ability to multitask, work autonomously, and make decisions based on established guidelines.
• Proficient basic computer software skills, particularly in MS Office.
• Familiarity with financial aid software; experience with Campus Vue/Campus Nexus is preferred.
• Completion of relevant training modules within 30 days of availability.
