Finance Specialist – FP&A Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee operational cash flow, billing processes, collections, overdue tracking, and bank reconciliations.

• Collaborate with business leaders to develop 3-year business plans, budgets, and forecasts.

• Perform pacing and preliminary analysis.

• Evaluate profitability and cash-generation metrics.

• Recommend corrective action plans and assist in cost reduction and productivity initiatives.

• Deliver P&L and corporate reporting, track variances, and inform CPM and PFM teams of discrepancies.

• Supervise PMX projects and assess/approve EV project markups.

• Monitor unbilled projects (WIP/ECA).

• Manage PMX upside allocation through Unify.

• Execute balance-sheet reconciliations across three countries in accordance with GE and Kuwaiti governance standards.

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.

• Assist with statutory filings for GEGS and GEII.

• Engage in weekly SOF management discussions.

• Coordinate with GE Treasury and Gas Power FP&A teams.

• Work collaboratively with CPM, PFM, Alpha, Statutory, Gas Power FP&A, and GE Treasury teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in FP&A or a comparable position.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and report creation.

• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, verbal and written.

• Strong capabilities in communication, problem-solving, strategic thinking, influence, leadership, and interpersonal relations.

• Ability to collaborate on cross-functional projects and process improvements within the operations/finance domain.

• Quick to understand new concepts and extract insights from extensive data.

• Capacity to foresee, identify, propose, and resolve complex financial challenges.

• Proven business acumen and project management expertise.

• Significant prior experience in commercial finance and/or the energy sector.

• Demonstrated capability to manage teams effectively in a matrixed environment.
