Finance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Analyze and forecast IT services expenses for monthly budgeting and annual planning cycles.

• Collaborate with the Finance Manager to provide recommendations for cost savings.

• Generate accurate and timely monthly reports, including variance and trend analysis.

• Raise critical issues and suggestions to management for consideration.

• Collaborate with service owners and project managers to estimate capital requirements and timing of expenditures.

• Conduct analyses of capital investments.

• Enhance and automate processes to convert financial data into actionable decision-making insights.

• Execute account reconciliations and standard journal entries during the monthly closing process.

• Assist with compliance and audit requirements, both internal and external.

• Develop ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations as needed.

• Partner with the IT organization and other departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or, alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of related experience without a degree.

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Ariba, Hyperion, and Business Intelligence software.

• Strong skills in planning, organization, and analysis.

• Experience in cost/schedule development, budgeting, management/customer reporting, and forecasting.

• Orientation towards process improvement and the capacity to identify and implement enhancement ideas.

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.

• Ability to collaborate with other functional areas in a dynamic environment with multiple projects and shifting priorities.
