Finance Project Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Senior FPA in managing up to $12 million in fee-based revenue, ensuring that all projects are reconciled to an audit-ready standard upon completion.

• Oversee the daily management of VP finance reporting packs.

• Collaborate closely with the senior finance team and Client Services to enhance recoverability and productivity across various clients and teams.

• Aid in the completion and assessment of reports to boost business efficiency and provide recommendations to senior finance team members.

• Prepare job profitability analyses and coordinate with Client Services regarding variances, commercial issues, and financial aspects of client relationships.

• Work alongside Client Services to generate and verify client estimates prior to submission and compare these estimates with similar projects.

• Support Client Services with monthly reconciliations and address ad-hoc queries.

• Troubleshoot system or reporting challenges.

• Assist staff with inquiries related to Paprika and processes/policies.

• Engage with clients to resolve budgeting and job administration concerns.

• Participate in client meetings to provide support to the Client Services team.

• Contribute to month-end management accounts, with a focus on revenue recognition and WIP.

• Ensure that financial transactions adhere to policies and procedures, and identify any breaches.

• Generate sales invoices and ensure prompt payment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in the Marketing/Advertising/Comms industry, ideally with some background in the international Med Comms sector.

• Solid understanding of industry standards, particularly accounting principles related to revenue recognition.

• Experience with Paprika accounting software or a similar advanced project management system.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong time management and organizational abilities.

• Effective team communication and influencing skills.

• Proactive and adaptable mindset, with problem-solving skills and a willingness to advocate for new systems and share innovative ideas.

• Ideally holds a finance or accounting degree and/or is part-qualified from a relevant professional body, with the intention to complete studies in due course.
