Finance Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the annual budgeting processes and quarterly reforecasts across various markets, ministries, and entities.

• Provide support for monthly closing activities, coordinate accounting functions, prepare income statements, balance sheets, and long-term financial forecasts.

• Act as the subject matter expert and project leader for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.

• Implement enhancements in financial systems, streamline workflows, and standardize tools, methodologies, dashboards, and analytics processes.

• Analyze claims, eligibility, attribution, CMS/payer files, and contract datasets to uncover trends, risk factors, financial opportunities, and performance deficiencies.

• Develop and maintain executive dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership and governance purposes.

• Support value-based contract modeling, such as MSSP, MA, shared savings, and bundled payments, in collaboration with Managed Care, Actuarial, Finance, and IT departments.

• Provide financial, utilization, and quality analytics to aid improvement initiatives, vendor assessments, and strategic decision-making.

• Conduct data validation, reconciliations, controls reviews, and audit preparations; work closely with Internal Audit and external partners.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and organizational data governance standards.

• Convert actuarial, contractual, and management guidance into actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations.

• Collaborate with Shared Services, Market Finance, data teams, and leadership to synchronize financial reporting, performance management processes, and compliance requirements.

• Foster customer-service relationships with CFOs, finance teams, and clinicians.

• Prepare and present information to senior leadership, boards, committees, and external stakeholders.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide proactive financial insights to support enterprise strategy and operational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field (mandatory).

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare finance, accounting, actuarial/insurance analytics, value-based care analytics, or similar fields (mandatory).

• Experience handling healthcare claims, eligibility, and financial datasets (mandatory).

• Proficient in SQL, Tableau (or other BI tools), Excel, and relational databases (mandatory).

• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage, MSSP, ACOs, CINs, risk-based payment models, or provider/payer financial reconciliation workflows (preferred).

• Experience using financial planning software.

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation (preferred).

• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional – IIBA) designation (preferred).

• Sound knowledge of healthcare finance and accounting principles.

• Skills in SQL querying, data extraction, and navigating relational databases.

• Proficient in claims, eligibility, attribution, and contract data analysis.

• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.

• Competence in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.

• Ability to develop, monitor, and benchmark KPIs.

• Experience in audit preparation, data validation, and quality assurance.

• Analytical skills in healthcare performance metrics (cost, utilization, quality).

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data governance standards.

• Capacity to translate data into actionable insights.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Collaborative approach and stakeholder engagement across complex teams.
