Finance Manager – International Tax, Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of tax compliance across all group entities, including the US, Cayman Islands, and Costa Rica, with lighter oversight in the UK and Australia.

• Oversee PFIC reporting and address evolving tax obligations as the business expands into new jurisdictions.

• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure that filings, elections, and disclosures are accurate and submitted on time.

• Manage intercompany loan agreements, including balances, settlements, documentation, transfer pricing considerations, and reconciliations.

• Supervise crypto treasury compliance, which includes wallet/exchange reconciliation and the recording of fair market values.

• Maintain oversight of group-wide cash and cryptocurrency positions.

• Serve as the finance owner responsible for statutory and regulatory compliance across all group entities.

• Ensure that local statutory filings, audits, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.

• Identify and mitigate compliance risks as the business continues to grow.

• Oversee accounts payable processes.

• Manage payroll across all entities and jurisdictions.

• Act as the main point of contact for external accounting firms and outsourced finance providers.

• Manage provider deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.

• Identify opportunities to bring processes in-house or enhance external support arrangements.


⛳️ Requirements

• CA/CPA qualified with relevant post-qualification experience in tax and compliance.

• Ideal candidates will have exposure to structures in the US, Cayman Islands, or Costa Rica.

• A minimum of 6 years in Big 4 Audit or Consulting is required.

• At least 2 years of experience with PFIC matters.

• Strong knowledge of international tax is essential.

• Experience with PFIC rules and reporting is preferred.

• Familiarity with intercompany loan structures and the associated compliance/documentation is important.

• Exposure to crypto or digital asset treasury and reconciliation is an advantage.

• Experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions in a high-growth environment is necessary.

• Previous experience overseeing payroll and accounts payable functions is required.

• Comfortable managing external accounting firms and outsourced providers to maintain high standards.

• Strong Excel skills are a must.

• Experience with Campfire is a plus.
