This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take charge of company-wide controlling, annual planning, forecasts, budgets, and regular management reporting.
• Evaluate financial KPIs while monitoring liquidity, cost structures, and profitability.
• Formulate well-founded action recommendations.
• Oversee finance processes, including invoice management, reviewing incoming invoices, and collaborating with tax advisors on monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage the Candis invoice management tool.
• Continuously enhance finance systems and processes.
• Assist in accounting activities.
• Identify optimization opportunities and actively promote the digitalization and scalability of finance processes.
• Act as the central point of contact for all finance-related inquiries.
• Work in collaboration with the executive team, HR team, and other departments.
• Coordinate with external partners, including tax advisors and banks.
• Independently manage and prioritize tasks while ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Degree in finance, controlling, or a related field.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in finance, controlling, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), preferably within a dynamic business environment.
• Strong background in corporate controlling and preparing forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
• Experience supporting monthly and annual financial statements, with a solid understanding of accounting relationships and processes.
• Familiarity with digital finance tools such as Candis or similar solutions.
• Proficient in advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with DATEV Unternehmen Online and digital collaboration tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
• Knowledge of Shopify is an advantage.
• Strong numerical aptitude along with an analytical and structured work approach.
• A proactive, hands-on mentality.
• Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented working style.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Very good German language proficiency (at least C1 level).
• Availability to work full time (40 hours/week); a minimum of 35 hours/week is also acceptable.
• At least 3 years of professional experience outside of studies or vocational training in finance, controlling, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
