This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee company-wide finance control, which includes annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and regular management reporting.
• Examine crucial financial KPIs and keep track of liquidity, cost structures, and profitability.
• Create well-founded recommendations for action based on analysis.
• Coordinate finance processes such as invoice management, reviewing incoming invoices, and collaborating with external tax advisors for monthly and annual closing activities.
• Take ownership of the Candis invoice management tool.
• Enhance finance systems and processes continually.
• Provide support for accounting functions.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and lead the digitalization and scalability of finance processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related inquiries throughout the company.
• Work in collaboration with executive management, the HR team, and other departments.
• Manage relationships with external partners, including tax advisors and banks.
• Independently oversee and prioritize various topics while ensuring high quality and timely execution.
• Initially, this role is a one-year parental leave cover, with a clear possibility for permanent employment afterward.
• This position is for an experienced individual contributor with no personnel management responsibilities.
• A completed degree in finance, controlling, or a related qualification.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in finance, controlling, or Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably within a dynamic business environment.
• Strong background in corporate controlling and in preparing forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
• Experience in supporting monthly and annual financial closings, along with a solid understanding of accounting processes.
• Familiarity with digital finance tools like Candis or similar solutions.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with DATEV Unternehmen Online and digital collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
• Knowledge of Shopify is an advantage.
• Strong numerical aptitude and an analytical, structured approach to work.
• A proactive and hands-on mentality.
• Ability to work independently, reliably, and in a solution-oriented manner.
• Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in German, with at least C1 level skills.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in finance, controlling, or Financial Planning & Analysis outside of studies or vocational training.
• Willingness to work full time: 40 hours per week over five days, or a minimum of 35 hours per week.
• Remote-first: Work entirely from home.
