Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Harrison.ai US operations and Harrison.ai Services, which deliver management services to Frontier Radiology.

• Oversee daily payroll decisions for US employees using Rippling, including onboarding, terminations, and changes in compensation.

• Manage and authorize outsourced payroll processing, while escalating policy-related issues to Group Finance.

• Administer RVU-based compensation for radiologists along with sign-on, retention, and milestone bonuses.

• Implement worker-classification frameworks with the People & Culture team and Legal department.

• Oversee multi-state withholding and benefits deductions.

• Direct payroll and employment tax registrations, withholding, deposits, and compliance schedules.

• Review and authorize payroll tax filings and information returns.

• Address workers' compensation and state unemployment issues.

• Maintain documentation that is audit-ready and escalate matters related to corporate tax, transfer pricing, and entity structuring.

• Approve US vendor invoices and expense reimbursements.

• Manage vendor partnerships, payment terms, and cost discrepancies.

• Lead US management reporting, variance analysis, and assessments of headcount/payroll costs.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for payroll, contractor expenses, and operating costs.

• Contribute to Group cash-flow predictions.

• Analyze cost-per-read/RVU economics for the teleradiology service's P&L.

• Serve as the primary US finance contact point.

• Collaborate with Group Finance, People & Culture, service and squad leads, and radiologist operations.

• Provide local billing and revenue recognition insights for US contracts.

• Support the data warehouse initiative and identify finance tasks that can be automated with AI.

• Manage US banking relationships and payment systems.

• Oversee the relationship with the outsourced accounting, payroll, and HR compliance provider.

• Develop a roadmap for gradually insourcing transaction processing capabilities.

• Report directly to the CFO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance/accounting role within the US.

• Hands-on experience with payroll and payroll tax compliance.

• Ability to set policies and direct the work of others.

• Experience managing an outsourced or fractional finance or payroll provider, such as a BPO, accounting firm, or PEO.

• Familiarity with Rippling or a similar multi-state US payroll platform.

• Understanding of International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS) is advantageous.

• Comfort with variable or commission-based compensation structures.

• Knowledge of worker classification laws.

• Familiarity with US accounts payable and expense management.

• Strong proficiency in Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Prior experience in healthcare, radiology, or physician/RVU-based compensation is highly valued.

• Exposure to high-growth start-up or scale-up environments is a plus.
