Finance Director, T&O FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for the Tools & Outdoor division.

• Lead the monthly and quarterly closing processes, reporting, forecasting, and planning activities.

• Manage daily, monthly, and quarterly financial outputs, including business reviews, forecasts, budgets, management reports, and board materials.

• Create financial presentations aimed at senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

• Offer strategic guidance to the FP&A function by establishing priorities and enhancing team capabilities.

• Promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and automation in financial reporting and planning processes.

• Examine regional business performance, trends, and KPIs to aid in decision-making and operational enhancements.

• Provide precise financial narratives that connect various functions and business objectives.

• Collaborate with Operations Finance on macroeconomic trends, business drivers, and projections.

• Foster cross-functional relationships with Commercial FP&A, Brand FP&A, and Operations Finance teams.

• Coordinate with Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations on data inquiries and enterprise-level reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Finance/FP&A positions.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to collaborate across all functions.

• Ability to propose solutions and recommendations proactively before issues arise for management.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Experience in process improvements and optimization.

• Proven experience in leading and developing a high-performing team.

• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply.

• Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Hyperion EPM and HFM.

• Experience with AI Tools, Power BI, and/or Alteryx is a plus.
