Finance Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Direct the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.

• Supervise accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance operations.

• Create and sustain financial models to facilitate executive decision-making and growth strategies.

• Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning, deal structuring, and risk management initiatives.

• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, legal advisors, and external financial partners.

• Ensure adherence to GAAP standards, federal and state tax regulations, and contracts within the entertainment industry.

• Review and negotiate financial terms for artist contracts, venue agreements, and vendor arrangements.

• Oversee financial management involving multiple currencies across international operations.

• Build, mentor, and enhance the internal finance and accounting team.

• Present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic insights to ownership and stakeholders.

• Suggest and refine financial systems, processes, and internal controls.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and profitability across all business sectors.

• Oversee Human Resources functions such as employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy formulation.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.

• An MBA or advanced degree in Finance/Business is advantageous.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles.

• Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, VP of Finance, or in a comparable senior finance position.

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Demonstrated experience in international finance and multi-currency operations.

• Proficient in QuickBooks, Salesforce, accounting ERP systems, and advanced Excel/financial modeling.

• Expertise in payroll systems and payroll processing platforms.

• Strong understanding of state tax compliance, including payroll, sales, and income taxes across various jurisdictions.

• Familiarity with contract finance, royalties, and revenue structures related to talent/events.

• Comfortable operating in an Apple MacOS/Apple product environment.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States. Residency in the United States is required.
