Finance Data, Reporting & AI Expert – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage the finance data architecture across NetSuite and its integrated systems, which includes the chart of accounts, financial dimensions, segment structures, and the overall data model.

• Define and uphold data governance concerning ownership, quality standards, lineage, and master data management.

• Oversee the data migration process across various entities, involving extraction, transformation, validation, and cut-over activities.

• Establish and maintain data quality and reconciliation controls between the source systems and NetSuite.

• Design, develop, and manage group management reporting as well as the financial consolidation model.

• Create and implement the Board-level KPI framework, which includes metrics, calculation logic, data sources, and reporting frequency.

• Develop executive analytics dashboards to provide real-time insights across different entities, regions, and product lines.

• Define reporting hierarchies, align management with statutory requirements, and establish intercompany elimination methods.

• Lead initiatives for finance automation powered by AI, including document processing, reconciliations, anomaly detection, and enhancing forecasting capabilities.

• Assess and deploy AI/ML tools for finance operations and reporting.

• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and external system integrators on scalable automation pipelines, NetSuite configuration, SuiteAnalytics, and API integration.

• Develop the business case and roadmap for AI adoption within finance, encompassing ROI modeling and change management planning.

• Provide guidance to GPO leads as the finance data and analytics expert.

• Oversee the delivery of data and reporting workstreams, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

• Report on program progress to the FTO and steering committee while governing the post-live data operating model.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in finance, data, or analytics roles, with a focus on finance transformation and ERP implementation preferred.

• Practical experience with ERP data architecture; NetSuite is preferred, while SAP or Oracle is acceptable.

• Background in building or managing group management reporting suites and consolidation models in multi-entity settings.

• Proven experience with AI/ML applications in finance, covering automation, anomaly detection, NLP for accounts payable, and forecasting.

• A degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; ACCA, CIMA, or CFA qualifications are advantageous.

• Strong expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and BI/analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

• Comprehensive knowledge of management accounts, consolidation processes, IFRS, segment reporting, and KPI design.

• Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical data concepts into business-friendly insights for CFOs, steering committee sponsors, and board members.

• Knowledge of ERP systems: NetSuite preferred, with familiarity in SAP or Oracle, particularly in chart of accounts design and financial dimensions.

• Proficient in SQL; experience with Python or R for analytics is desirable.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks is beneficial.

• Exposure to AI/ML technologies, including document processing, forecasting models, and anomaly detection.

• Experience adhering to high reporting standards and investor scrutiny.

• Capability to manage program delivery, including planning, resource management, and risk escalation.

• Comfortable working at the intersection of finance, technology, and strategy.
