Finance and People Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily finance and human resources operations of a rapidly expanding fintech firm.

• Issue invoices to over 250 customers via Ignition, monitor collections, and pursue overdue accounts.

• Handle vendor invoices and guarantee prompt payments.

• Manage payroll and benefits using Rippling, including onboarding, offboarding, and ensuring accurate deductions.

• Assist with month-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, prepaid schedules, accruals, and benefits expense reconciliation.

• Oversee multi-state payroll registrations and uphold state compliance as the team expands.

• Keep HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws across a remote-first workforce.

• Provide additional support to the VP of Finance on reporting, audits, and operational initiatives.

• Take ownership of finance and HR processes from start to finish.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in accounting, HR management, or finance operations in a startup, technology, or fintech environment.

• Practical experience with Rippling (HR, payroll, or benefits modules).

• Proficient in QuickBooks or a similar cloud-based accounting system.

• Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Proven ability to independently manage processes rather than simply executing tasks assigned by a supervisor.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

• Excellent written communication skills, maintaining a professional tone.

• Familiarity with cap tables, or a willingness to learn about them.
