Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the month-end closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and address any queries that arise.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping in Xero and maintain an organized chart of accounts.

• Aid in the preparation for year-end audits.

• Generate monthly management reports, encompassing P&L statements, variance analysis, and KPI monitoring.

• Create and manage Excel/Google Sheets trackers for revenue, expenses, and cash flow.

• Identify trends, anomalies, and risks for the finance team to address.

• Process supplier invoices within Xero.

• Prepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.

• Issue sales invoices and assist with credit control and collection of overdue payments.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and expense claims.

• Address internal finance inquiries.

• Document and enhance finance processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Provide support for ad hoc projects as the finance function expands.

• Continuously refine processes and utilize AI tools to enhance output.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a finance role involving management accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting.

• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Confident in clearly communicating with a UK-based team.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing individual workloads to meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working UK hours and fully remotely.

• Hands-on experience with Xero is preferred.

• Experience with a UK-based business or international finance team is advantageous.

• Exposure to media, digital, or creative sectors is a plus.

• Familiarity with Looker Studio, Power BI, or AI tools for finance workflows is desired.

• An AI-forward individual with experience in tools like Claude is preferred.
