Finance, AI Automation Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage invoice processing, month-end reporting, payroll data preparation, expense oversight, and intercompany recharges.

• Acquire knowledge, execute, and take ownership of essential finance processes across three entities, utilizing two currencies and three accounting systems.

• Streamline finance procedures through automation using Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub, the Soda MCP, or sophisticated spreadsheet solutions.

• Develop reconciliations and controls within automations to ensure output verification.

• Create documentation for processes intended for colleagues and AI agents.

• Assist with reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc projects involving Belgian and US entities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Pursuing or recently earned a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) and/or experience in developing automations, scripts, or advanced spreadsheet solutions.

• Capability to demonstrate the verification process for automation outputs.

• Strong attention to detail and verification practices.

• Ability to independently learn GitHub, MCP-based integrations, and finance systems.

• Proactive in recognizing and automating manual tasks.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Availability during European business hours.

• Fully remote from any compatible time zone, or hybrid if located near Amsterdam.

• Experience with accounting software (such as Exact Online, QuickBooks) or ERP systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or API-based automation is a plus.

• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced work environment is beneficial.
