Finance & Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead a finance and accounting team, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations.

• Manage customer accounts, respond to financial inquiries, and maintain high service standards.

• Oversee general accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP - 280E standards.

• Guarantee timely and precise financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

• Direct budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with department heads.

• Track variances and take corrective actions as necessary.

• Create financial models to aid in business planning and decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and audit requirements.

• Serve as a liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.

• Develop and implement internal controls and policies.

• Mentor and guide junior finance team members.

• Collaborate with operations, HR, legal, and other departments within the organization.

• Drive initiatives aimed at process improvements and increased efficiency.

• Provide administrative support to Management as needed.

• Streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.

• Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.

• Intermediate proficiency in ERP systems; experience with QBO is preferred.

• Familiarity with GSuite and Slack.

• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Effective time management skills.

• Proficient in conversational English (C1-C2).

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Interest in process improvement and automation initiatives.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
