This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Execute assessments, inspections, and maintenance on clients' energized assets.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide maintenance services on a variety of electrical systems, such as solar PV, EV charging stations, and battery electric storage systems.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance procedures on energy systems including Solar PV, EV charging stations, and battery electric storage systems.
• Troubleshoot and determine root causes of issues impacting the proper operation and performance of hardware assets.
• Access live electrical equipment, exposing energized connections for inspection.
• Address client inquiries regarding the performance or functionality of their systems.
• Identify and escalate issues to the appropriate level while recommending potential enhancements.
• Carry out inspection, assessment, and maintenance activities on clients' energized assets as required.
• Comply with and uphold all ABB Safety policies.
• Proactively arrange all travel components for assigned jobs, including accommodations, flights, and/or car rentals through the designated travel planning platform.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Over 2 years of experience in an electrical technician position.
• Proficient electrical trade skills and prior experience; ability to interpret and understand electrical diagrams.
• NFPA 70 E Certification is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and high technical aptitude.
• Capable of critical thinking and solving complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in computer usage, familiar with Windows programs and Microsoft Office tools.
• Self-driven and able to work effectively without direct supervision.
