This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Provide technical assistance for FAA programs and systems, including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, and WMSS.
β’ Install, repair, configure, test, and conduct preventative maintenance on networking and telecommunications equipment at customer remote sites.
β’ Operate remotely in both scheduled and on-call roles at customer locations within the designated area.
β’ Occasionally travel to remote sites beyond the assigned region to meet FAA customer requirements.
β’ Document field activities, take notes, and maintain administrative records.
β’ Collaborate with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk via phone to resolve field-related issues.
β’ Maintain tools, testing equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicles.
β’ Prepare for assigned tasks before departure.
β’ Work outside of regular hours as necessary to support customer needs.
β’ Adhere to L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures in conjunction with the supervisor/ASL.
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
β’ Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
β’ Ability to secure and retain FAA Public Trust.
β’ Possess and maintain a valid Driverβs License with a satisfactory driving record.
β’ Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+ certifications preferred.
β’ Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
β’ Capability to read, comprehend, and follow equipment diagrams and task orders.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to lift items weighing up to 32 lbs. and utilize ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 feet.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to remote locations within a 3-hour drive radius; travel outside the assigned region may be necessary.
β’ Familiarity with cable connectors, including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449.
β’ Working knowledge of fiber optics, multiplexers, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, private line, and voice/data applications.
β’ Proficient understanding of AC/DC power testing, including 3-phase AC and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies.
β’ Experience with T1, DS3, BERT, and analog VG network/circuit testing in compliance with Bell Core Standards.
β’ Familiarity with network testing equipment such as JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscopes, Halcyon 704A, and Para-scope or equivalent T1/DS3 test sets.
β’ Knowledge of IP-based systems and experience in configuring routers and switches.
