This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Oversee and guide HVAC field service technicians in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems for data center environments.
• Create and execute service protocols and best practices for HVAC operations within data centers.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and government regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders in data centers on preventive maintenance, system failures, and tailored solutions.
• Uphold safety guidelines and promote a safety-oriented culture.
• Supervise and enhance inventory processes to ensure service vehicles are adequately stocked with essential parts and equipment.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing teams regarding HVAC service strategies for data centers.
• Manage customer feedback via the C2 customer complaint system.
• Assist in Services sales promotions, tools, and objectives.
• Offer feedback on scope definition and performance costs to Service Sales, and share potential leads.
• Provide insights to Service Engineering regarding the quality and availability of technical support.
• Share leads with the Sales PM and Service Sales teams.
• Engage in recruiting activities as needed.
• Advise supervisors on scheduling conflicts, service challenges, equipment issues, personnel matters, and other job-related topics.
• Conduct orientations for new hires, field training, and ongoing educational programs.
• Implement quality assurance checks in the field.
• Handle back-office service administration tasks, including timesheet entries, expense report evaluations and approvals, as well as service report generation and reviews.
• 5-7 years of extensive experience in the HVAC industry, with a strong emphasis on data center environments.
• At least 3 years in a leadership capacity managing a team of technicians.
• In-depth understanding of the unique demands and challenges related to data center HVAC systems.
• Solid grasp of data center infrastructure and operational procedures.
• Experience with advanced monitoring and management systems utilized in data centers.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills combined with a keen attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel (on short notice) to various site locations to fulfill business needs as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of data center certifications such as CDCMP, CDCP, or similar is advantageous.
• Relevant HVAC certifications; EPA Certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with refrigeration and controls is strongly preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve performance goals and support the mission and vision of the Data Center Business.
• Clean driving record and readiness to travel frequently to various job sites.
• Capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or constantly.
• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift as needed.
• Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screens, and extensive reading.
