Field Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate communication among various company departments, client representatives, and geologists.

• Leverage extensive drilling expertise and qualifications to enhance drilling methodologies.

• Ensure optimal production and core recovery while prioritizing safety.

• Maintain a duty of care towards personal work activities and supervise personnel under management.

• Guarantee adherence to HSE regulations, site-specific guidelines, and relevant laws by all personnel.

• Support Drillers in mentoring Trainee Drillers and Drillers Offsiders on safe practices and equipment maintenance.

• Comprehend drilling program specifications and collaborate with clients to achieve successful outcomes.

• Implement effective management strategies and techniques within areas of competence.

• Offer direction, leadership, management, and assistance for drilling and maintenance operations.

• Advocate for the company’s business interests.

• Uphold high standards of presentation, behavior, and conduct for field crews.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in Diamond Drilling.

• Experience in Iron Ore is essential.

• Prior experience with LF 160 drill rigs and Freedom rod loaders is required.

• Possession of a Cert IV in Drilling Operations.

• A valid Heavy Rigid Driver’s licence (MC licence is highly valued).

• Current National Police clearance is necessary.

• Completion of Fatigue Management training.

• ICAM or equivalent WHS incident investigation training is required.

• Current Senior First Aid certificate or equivalent qualification.

• Schedule 26 qualifications are necessary.

• Willingness to travel to remote project locations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong understanding of the Mines Safety Act and Regulations alongside the WHS Act.

• Physically fit and prepared to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
