This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Carry out the installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of electro-mechanical medical devices.
• Identify equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and execute corrective measures.
• Oversee the designated service area by organizing service appointments, preventive maintenance, and efficient travel.
• Keep accurate records of service activities, maintenance logs, inventory movements, and equipment calibration.
• Plan and procure parts while maintaining effective inventory management.
• Educate and support customer staff on equipment usage, maintenance, and inspection methods.
• Update customers on service progress, arrival times, and resolution of issues.
• Represent Vantive with professionalism in interactions with customers and team members.
• Mentor and assist fellow service technicians and take part in meetings, training, troubleshooting guides, and sharing best practices.
• Suggest service enhancements and keep management informed of operational requirements and challenges.
• Engage in installation projects, field actions, and designated initiatives; lead projects when necessary.
• Ensure proper management of sensitive components and adherence to hospital, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Travel to clinical and stakeholder locations for technical support, training, and meetings.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
• Background in biomedical engineering, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical devices.
• Capability to diagnose problems, perform mechanical adjustments, and independently resolve intricate equipment issues.
• Competence to work autonomously and manage a designated territory.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate in healthcare settings while complying with PPE requirements.
• Capability to stand, kneel, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasional heavier lifting with appropriate assistance.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%, including overnight stays; readiness to drive long distances or fly.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• An Associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; OR an Associate’s degree or higher in a non-related field with 3+ years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience; OR BMET certification with 3+ years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience; OR completion of a U.S. military program in electrical or biomedical equipment technology.
• Prior field service experience is highly preferred.
