This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Collect detailed information on refractory installation projects from both internal and external clients.
• Assist in refractory installation trials and resolve any issues related to refractory installations.
• Engage in Value Added Services, Marketing, and Sales meetings.
• Recognize opportunities for ongoing process enhancement.
• Develop new processes and performance indicators.
• Train employees, customers, contractor installers, and sales personnel on processes and improvement initiatives.
• Lead meetings to formulate and track essential service metrics.
• Set performance standards and staffing for monitoring designated activities and objectives.
• Offer strategic sales and technical support to customers.
• Monitor competitive activities within the region.
• Work closely with Sales and Technical Marketing teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with HR to create value-added services competencies and training programs.
• Build installation teams, apply best practices, and institutionalize knowledge.
• Oversee headcount requirements.
• Support regional installation requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, ideally in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management.
• Background in refractory installation for both Ferrous and Non-Ferrous applications.
• Familiarity with the operation, repair, and troubleshooting of refractory installation equipment.
• Proficient in computer operations, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities and business problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a proven track record of effective teamwork.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to compile and swiftly analyze data.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-driven with a capacity to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances.
• Over six (6) years of experience in refractory installation, or equivalent experience in construction or manufacturing.
• Preferably, at least two (2) years of management experience across multiple locations.
• Capability to meet specified physical and environmental criteria, including lifting up to 50 pounds more than two-thirds of the time and up to 100 pounds less than one-third of the time.
• Willingness to work in environments with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, high precarious areas, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor conditions, extreme heat, electrical shock risk, vibration, and noise levels exceeding 85 decibels.
• Accurate distance and peripheral vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
