Field Service/Installation Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver hands-on assistance to customers.

• Execute maintenance and repair services on-site.

• Provide solutions that go beyond standard repairs and maintenance.

• Educate staff on the proper use of equipment.

• Instruct customers on how to operate equipment.

• Travel regularly to customer locations, on a daily basis.

• Operate in a field-based, territory-focused, virtually-based, or remote position without the need to consistently report to a physical Benco location.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (mandatory).

• Proficiency in computers, particularly with Windows-based applications.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Mechanical or technical background/education.

• Experience in electrical work, customer service, military, or software/hardware fields.

• Familiarity with pneumatics.

• Knowledge of HVAC systems.

• Technical training in the biomedical or electronics sector (preferred).

• Ability to perform routine activities such as walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, reaching, and twisting.

• Capability to frequently lift, lower, carry, push, and pull weights ranging from 1 to 55 pounds and occasionally between 56 to 100 pounds.

• Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and utilizing manual dexterity of hands, arms, and shoulders.

• Ability to work in confined spaces.

• Frequent travel to customer locations (daily).

• Occasional operation of power tools.

• Capacity to function as an independent team player while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
