This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Engage in approximately three months of on-site and classroom training.

• Travel to client locations within the region.

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate sophisticated measuring instruments.

• Acquire hands-on experience with advanced coordinate measuring machines by utilizing both mechanical and electronic skills.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of service activities and ensure precise service records.

• Operate independently while representing ZEISS in a dynamic and innovative setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a minimum of a high school graduate, have completed a GED, or possess equivalent qualifications.

• Alternatively, a technical school diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as Electronics or Industrial Mechanics is acceptable.

• Alternatively, relevant training and experience from a Military Technical School will be considered.

• Previous experience using hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment is necessary.

• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems is required.

• Must be capable of independently lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.

• Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, including both regular and overtime hours.

• Ability to thrive in an industrial production shop floor setting.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Prior experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machinery, or computer systems is preferred.

• Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting is advantageous but not essential.
