Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot complex flexible packaging machinery.

• Ensure that inspection, testing, quality, and operational specifications are adhered to.

• Supervise or direct customer personnel during the installation, integration, and servicing of machinery.

• Customize machine programs on-site to align with customer requirements.

• Maintain occasional 24-hour on-call status and offer telephone technical support.

• Provide factory-floor assistance when not engaged in customer field service or travel.

• Educate customers on the operation and servicing of machinery.

• Support customers with aftermarket parts requirements in the field.

• Travel extensively to various customer locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.

• Willingness to travel extensively both within the US and occasionally internationally.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A robust focus on customer service.

• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Windows and MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Capability to train customer personnel on equipment usage.

• Experience with flexible packaging material machinery is preferred.

• At least 1 year of experience in machinery repair is required.

• PLC programming experience is preferred.

• Technical Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75% of the time.
