This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Diagnose and repair commercial and industrial floor cleaning equipment either in the branch workshop or on-site at customer locations.
• Complete all necessary service reports, time sheets, and other documentation as required by the Branch Supervisor.
• Keep all required training and certifications current and updated in a timely manner.
• Maintain designated spare parts inventory levels in the service vehicle.
• Evaluate and respond to equipment failure incidents following established protocols.
• Document design, reliability, and maintenance issues using field service management software.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; 5 years of relevant experience and training; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar or related role.
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven product knowledge, ideally acquired through practical experience.
• Proficient mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Competence in using basic electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of AC and DC electrical theory.
• Valid Driver's License.
• DOT Certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other business applications.
• Capability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to understand safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Skill in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in front of customers or colleagues.
• Skill in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.
• Ability to use common sense and handle problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to work in environments with electrical hazards, moving mechanical components, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic substances.
