Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Install, troubleshoot, service, repair, and calibrate advanced machinery at client sites.

• Exhibit exceptional customer service abilities and knowledge with enthusiasm and commitment.

• Acquire new competencies on sophisticated CT machines, leveraging mechanical and electronic skills.

• Ensure accurate and complete management of necessary administrative documentation.

• Operate autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative setting.

• Travel 90–100% within the service region, including international trips as required.

• Assist in process improvements aimed at the installation and maintenance of customized equipment.

• Engage with customers and collaborate with cross-functional service teams to support and launch ZEISS products.

• Support the R&D team with engineering tasks related to design, assembly, and new system testing.

• Contribute to the production of systems during their assembly and configuration.

• Perform additional duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum requirement of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• AS/BS in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or relevant training and experience from Military Technical School OR 4 years of related experience is mandatory.

• Prior experience with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment is essential.

• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems is required.

• Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds without assistance.

• Willingness to work at least 50 hours per week, including regular and overtime hours.

• Ability to function in an industrial production shop floor environment.

• A valid Driver's License is required.

• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation are essential.

• Previous experience in the installation and troubleshooting of industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems is preferred.

• Prior experience with CT machine (Computed Tomography) installation and troubleshooting is desirable, but not mandatory.
