Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Execute customer installations, maintenance, and service calls efficiently and promptly.

• Service electromechanical devices such as self-checkout systems within a designated territory.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and comprehensive system overhauls.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers.

• Interact with customers in a transparent, supportive, and engaging manner.

• Organize and prioritize customer-related issues.

• Proactively resolve or address potential problems before they arise.

• Complete both formal virtual and hands-on training sessions.

• Collaborate with service operations educators, mentors, and coaches across various territories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a local candidate for the specified geographic area.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets NCR fleet standards.

• Proficient in PC skills, basic electronics, and knowledgeable about specific hardware and operating systems.

• Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Willingness to travel extensively, including driving for several hours each day.

• Availability for rotating shifts and weekend work.

• Flexibility in work shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times, as well as some holidays.

• Ability to lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

• Capacity to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, use hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects.

• Openness to training on and operating small-scale scissor lifts.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software is preferred.

• A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification is preferred.

• At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.

• Successful completion of applicable employment screening criteria.
