Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Execute customer installations, maintenance, and service calls promptly and efficiently.

• Provide service for electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, within a designated territory.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and system overhauls.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers.

• Engage with customers in a transparent, helpful, and approachable manner.

• Organize and prioritize customer issues while proactively addressing problems.

• Complete formal training to equip customers with necessary solutions.

• Service or replace networking equipment, including access points and switches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Local candidate preferred for specific geographic areas.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets NCR fleet requirements.

• Proficient in PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiar with specific hardware and operating systems.

• Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Willingness to travel extensively, driving several hours each day.

• Availability for rotating and weekend shifts.

• Flexible work shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times, as well as some holidays.

• Capacity to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unaided and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects.

• Eagerness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software is preferred.

• A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification is preferred.

• One or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
