This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Serve as the product-line Subject Matter Expert (SME) by coaching and mentoring both internal and partner technicians during installations and repairs.
• Spearhead special projects that require specialized technical knowledge.
• Identify and address technical deficiencies while seeking effective solutions.
• Provide both remote and on-site customer support and repairs across Mexico, North America, and South America.
• Resolve intricate service challenges utilizing KT methodology, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
• Maintain communication with the Technical Service Manager, Regional Service Manager, and the Technical Phone Support team.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers.
• Conduct pre-installation assessments and site inspections of equipment.
• Accurately complete and submit service activity reports and documentation.
• Oversee and manage the return of parts.
• Administer and fulfill preventative maintenance obligations.
• Participate in global training sessions.
• Engage directly with product manufacturers, including those based overseas.
• Facilitate technical training sessions for technicians.
• Assist with sales during demonstrations and customer visits.
• Monitor critical accounts and take part in associated support activities.
• Relay technical concerns to management and technical support teams.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by the manager.
• High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• A minimum of 8 years of field service experience related to industry product lines.
• An associate degree in electronics or mechanical engineering, or equivalent field experience.
• Experience in field service with toner-based production equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of electronic systems.
• Proficient computer skills with a focus on operating systems and hardware.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
• Excellent customer service aptitude.
• Possession of a valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant).
• Valid passport.
• Willingness to travel extensively (70%).
• Availability to work weekends and overtime when required for installations, service calls, and training.
