Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations to lead, manage, and engage in hands-on tasks involving the disassembly, repair, and assembly of mechanical and/or forging presses.

• Ensure that teams operate safely and utilize the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Lead, manage, and oversee both customer and Enprotech personnel during maintenance and press repair activities.

• Serve as the liaison for customer site activities and planning on a daily basis.

• Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and customer specifications.

• Interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and written procedures.

• Disassemble and reassemble metal forming presses, including tasks such as rigging, fitting, scraping, grinding, and adjustments.

• Install lubrication blocks, lines, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general plumbing systems.

• Troubleshoot hydraulic lubrication systems and identify necessary repairs.

• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

• Prepare and utilize hand tools, hydraulic torque wrenches, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks.

• Ensure that parts are prepared, deburred, and free of defects prior to assembly.

• Conduct quality checks using process inspection tools and devices.

• Operate small lathes and mills to polish small components and fabricate keys.

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Capability to troubleshoot machines to identify issues.

• Familiarity with basic electrical codes, including wire pulling, electrical components, switches, high voltage systems, and control centers.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals.

• Proficiency in fitting fluid lines and pipes.

• Skill in assembling and disassembling parts and systems.

• Ability to resolve problems related to production operations.

• Must possess effective verbal communication skills with team members, supervisors, and engineers.

• Must be able to work in confined spaces.

• Must be comfortable working with solvents, oils, and grease.

• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
