This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Conduct electro-mechanical tasks within a computer-based setting.
• Collaborate with engineers to assist and troubleshoot as part of a team.
• Test, install, initiate, and demonstrate BW Converting equipment.
• Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Install and modify machine sections and complete machines utilizing assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, procedures, and specifications.
• Set up and operate machinery to manufacture customer products.
• Guide operators in setup and operational procedures.
• Offer technical and practical solutions to customer inquiries and challenges.
• Execute routine and emergency mechanical/electrical repair services.
• Identify root causes and compile reports detailing findings and solutions.
• Support pre- and post-installation meetings, audits, and workforce assessments at customer sites.
• Report quality concerns and implement corrective measures.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and the company while fostering positive relationships.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with field service team members, contractors, and customer personnel throughout various project phases.
• Advocate for a safety mindset, training, and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment; report and rectify unsafe practices or conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• An Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment to operate equipment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical competencies are essential.
• Familiarity with basic web handling and industrial experience; experience in Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens, or Flexographic presses is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended.
• Experience in machine process control is required.
• Familiarity with Indramat and Rockwell servo control systems is necessary.
• Understanding of Ethernet and SEROCS protocols is essential.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift, and move for extended periods.
• Capacity to frequently lift, move, or transfer up to 50 lbs. or more occasionally.
• Capability to walk, stand, or move continuously.
• Ability to work in typical machine shop environments with physical hazards, possibly requiring respiratory protection.
• Occasional computer operation, keyboarding, and grasping items are necessary.
• Frequent travel by air or car may be necessary.
