Field Service Specialist – Process Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Metrohm process analytical systems.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to customer instrumentation, applications, and products.

• Execute preventive maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and system optimization tasks.

• Perform equipment testing and verification procedures.

• Analyze schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and service documentation.

• Develop and nurture robust customer relationships through prompt and professional service.

• Grasp customer processes, operational requirements, and application needs.

• Assess customer challenges and propose practical technical solutions.

• Provide refresher training and operational support to end users.

• Investigate, document, and monitor service activities, equipment issues, and application concerns using Metrohm service management tools.

• Keep accurate service records and report documentation.

• Identify opportunities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

• Promote quality initiatives and best practices throughout the service organization.

• Mentor and assist in the development of junior Field Service Specialists.

• Share technical insights, troubleshooting methods, and best practices.

• Aid in onboarding and technical development initiatives.

• Travel frequently to customer locations within the designated territory; overnight, national, and international travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in Process Analytical Instrumentation, Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least four (4) years of experience in supporting process analytical instrumentation or industrial instrumentation systems.

• Proficient in electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and service documentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to work autonomously in customer-facing settings.

• Preferred experience in supporting process analyzers and instrumentation in semiconductor manufacturing, refining and petrochemical facilities, chemical manufacturing, or industrial process environments.

• Solid understanding of chemistry and analytical measurement principles.

• Experience with analyzer calibration, process optimization, root cause analysis, and complex technical troubleshooting.

• OSHA Area Council Basic Safety Training certification or comparable industrial safety training.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment background checks, education and employment verification, a 10-panel drug screening (including marijuana), and maintain a clean driving record.
