This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Operate and provide training on Unmanned Air Systems (UAS), Tactical Missile Systems (TMS), and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV) in the field.
• Participate in the AeroVironment Master Trainer Training Program (MTTP) in accordance with the Master Trainer Training Manual (MTTM).
• Ensure that field operations adhere to established protocols and are executed safely.
• Conduct inventories of UAS, TMS, UGV equipment, and materials.
• Inform Master Commanders, customer representatives, and controlling authorities of any changes that may impact planned training field operations.
• Maintain the operational readiness of UAS/TMS/UGVs and their supporting systems.
• Monitor the location, in-flight status, and potential threats to air or ground vehicles.
• Oversee on-site conditions and designated flight paths.
• Reassess risk evaluations and mitigate elevated risks.
• Complete documentation for field operations, equipment status, data collection, and post-flight procedures.
• Gather information for after-action reports and lessons-learned databases.
• Address routine issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Analyze limited-scope problems using standard practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Prior military experience or equivalent training experience in an aircraft/aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Prior military instructor/Special Operations experience is highly desirable.
• Preferred backgrounds include Special Forces, SEAL, Special Tactics, Ranger, Force Recon/MARSOC, Scout, Forward Observer, TACP, or Aviation.
• Willingness to travel regularly and for extended periods within the continental United States (CONUS).
• Willingness to travel regularly and for extended periods outside the continental United States (OCONUS).
• Strong understanding of military tactics, operations, GPS, and navigation using maps and compasses.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
• Capability to interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, blueprint, or sketch formats.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software and productivity tools.
• Ability to lead, train, and mentor small groups of students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to frequently lift and move 11–20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and navigate uneven ground and varying terrains.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to repeatedly throw objects weighing up to 16 lbs. over the shoulder.
• Good manual dexterity for assembling and disassembling products.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be willing to work on government contracts and possess the ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR or be eligible for an export license.
