This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Diagnose issues, carry out emergency repairs, and execute preventative maintenance.
• Enhance and upgrade existing products.
• Offer startup support and oversee installation processes.
• Educate customers or staff on both current and previous S&C products.
• Utilize personal hand tools and specialized tools provided by S&C on de-energized and grounded equipment.
• Carry out tasks in compliance with OSHA and industry safety standards.
• Conduct field services both domestically and internationally during customer-scheduled outages.
• Coordinate field service operations with other activities happening at customer locations.
• Record physical work activities through both verbal and written reports.
• Report directly to the Manager of the Field Service Center.
• An associate degree is preferred, or equivalent technical experience is acceptable.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical skills are essential.
• Competence in interpreting electrical schematics.
• Proficient computer skills are necessary.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, which may include travel outside the assigned area, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in electrical substation maintenance and construction is preferred.
• Familiarity with utility electrical protection equipment is a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, or maintenance of electrical utility equipment, facilities, or products is preferred.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to work in manufacturing, substations, and various indoor/outdoor environments.
• Adherence to OSHA and industry safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out and the use of personal protective equipment, is required.
