Field Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites using tools, components, and technical diagrams.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspection service work on-site.

• Provide call-out services and commissioning tasks for turbomachinery and package systems.

• Utilize test equipment to diagnose and pinpoint malfunctions.

• Refer to schematics and manufacturer specifications to identify issues.

• Employ hand tools, gauges, and instruments to analyze, repair, or replace defective components under supervision.

• Make use of digital tools and systems.

• Inspect for common trouble sources, such as dirty or defective parts.

• Clean and lubricate equipment with guidance.

• Carry out routine equipment installations and adjustments under supervision.

• Provide support to the local customer base in Minnesota or Missouri.

• A degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with customer service concepts and techniques.

• Capability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations while delivering outstanding service.

• Initiative and the ability to seek out work and achieve goals.

• Understanding of problem-solving methodologies, tools, and techniques.

• Knowledge of machinery used in power plants.

• Proficiency in conducting preventive maintenance and repairs or replacements on malfunctioning mechanical components utilized in power plants.

• Insight into mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance within the oil and gas sector.

• Ability to repair or replace faulty mechanical components used in hydrocarbon exploration, production, or refining.

• Awareness of safety procedures, practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements in the oil and gas industry.

• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

• Capability to design, implement, and operate automated process controls.

• Knowledge of troubleshooting methods, tools, and techniques.

• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening and physical fitness assessment.

• Clean driving history: no moving violations within the past 12 months, no “2 point” infractions in the last 3 years, and no DUIs within the last 7 years.

• Must be able to obtain a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
