Field Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Commission water treatment facilities and ensure that process equipment and control systems operate according to specifications.

• Serve as a construction liaison between design engineering and construction teams during plant installation.

• Offer technical guidance and support to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at client locations.

• Oversee external vendors and suppliers to fulfill project specifications and performance standards.

• Create standard operating procedures and log sheets for equipment use.

• Develop and implement commissioning schedules and performance plans.

• Design and conduct classroom and practical training sessions for process equipment operation and maintenance.

• Engage in model reviews, engineering design discussions, and safety-in-design assessments.

• Conduct factory acceptance tests for control systems in collaboration with clients and designated representatives.

• Provide after-market services, including site and equipment evaluations and operator training.

• Uphold safety standards and ensure that work complies with technical requirements.

• Generate technical reports for customer documentation and future outages.

• Execute water treatment chemistry calculations, perform reliability and validity testing, budget analysis, and monitor T&M contract costs.

• Address alignment issues and compute plumb adjustments using plane geometry and chemistry formulas.

• Identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions regarding operational and design efficiency.

• Carry out PLC/HMI tasks, including control system I/O verification, system networking, program upload/download, ladder logic and function-block troubleshooting, and basic logic programming.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in the Water Treatment sector.

• Strong emphasis on building customer relationships.

• Knowledge of or proven ability to learn VEOLIA WTS equipment and process startup, including RO/ED, Ion Exchange, and Thermal technologies.

• Proven capability to work independently and remotely with project teams.

• Fundamental understanding of water treatment chemistry.

• Familiarity with structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, piping, welding specifics, and civil notations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Valid passport required.

• Willingness to travel extensively (70-80%, approximately 250 days per year) across North America and other global locations.

• Valid driver's license is necessary.
