This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in driving sales growth initiatives throughout the territory.
• Collaborate closely with Axis Regional Sales Managers to facilitate pre- and post-sales opportunities, including key projects.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales support for opportunities that require FSE involvement.
• Execute advanced system designs, which encompass site surveys, camera placements, field-of-view calculations, pixels-on-target assessments, bandwidth and storage calculations, BOM construction, schematic drawings, and recommendations for third-party product integration.
• Work in partnership with various internal and external teams to achieve expectations and performance targets.
• Develop and deliver technology and client-specific training.
• Assist in the upkeep and management of an Axis Experience Center.
• Represent Axis at industry trade shows and events.
• Serve as a backup for other Axis sales engineers when necessary.
• Travel both regionally and internationally as required.
• Handle multiple projects, tasks, and travel priorities effectively.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Candidates must reside in or near NYC.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role, preferably within the network video and/or physical security sectors.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Systems, or at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of physical security and IT markets.
• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge of video transport protocols and compression technologies.
• Familiarity with image quality and photography principles.
• Proficient technical writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in design documentation (schematics, flow charts, topologies, metrics, FOV, pixels on target, angles, etc.).
• Excellent professional communication skills (Listening, Written, Verbal).
• Strong skills in presentation and training.
• Proven track record of effective time management and multitasking.
• Ability to simplify complex technologies and specifications.
• A positive, customer-focused attitude.
• Capability to lift 20–40 lbs. occasionally.
• Willingness to climb and remain on ladders or lifts for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights, including ceilings, ladders, and rooftops.
• Axis Certified Professional is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% is required.
