This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals about patient support programs, access, and reimbursement support tools, along with services.
• Inform on product-specific acquisition and access options, which include specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
• Educate on the resources available to resolve access issues.
• Offer local expertise regarding national and regional payer policies, challenges, coding changes, and proper claims submission processes.
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders in Oncology for effective key account management.
• Report observed payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
• Travel is expected to be around 50% of the time.
• Function as a field-based representative within the assigned territory.
• Experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology is highly preferred.
• A background in physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models is strongly preferred.
• Proven understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and patient support program operations.
• Strong ability to articulate technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across all care settings.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and their associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet all relevant HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• HCIR requirements may entail background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Exceptional skills in territory and account management.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• Preferred candidates will have 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Extensive experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage requirements, and access-related issues for specialty medicines is preferred.
• A strong history of leadership within the current position is preferred.
• Ability to reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city; candidates may be based in Green Bay, WI or Minneapolis, MN.
