This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee a designated territory, providing reimbursement and patient services for a particular medication.
• Assist patients with Benefit Investigation, Prior Authorization, Claims Assistance, and Appeals processes.
• Inform physician offices about payer landscapes and available services through virtual interactions and in-person training sessions.
• Cultivate relationships with physician offices and manufacturer representatives.
• Deliver on-site and on-demand educational presentations, including Lunch and Learns and Dinner presentations.
• Educate offices regarding Benefit Investigation, Prior Authorization, Support Center Services, Medicare and Commercial coverage, and channels of patient communication.
• Offer reimbursement support for case management, billing and coding, claims submission, specialty pharmacy, medical benefit interpretation, medical necessity, claims and appeals, co-pay assistance, and patient assistance programs.
• Collaborate with case managers on escalated issues.
• Schedule appointments, conduct outbound calls, and assist with backlog casework.
• Coordinate with physicians and manufacturer representatives to exchange patient- and provider-specific information.
• Document interactions and activities in FRM CRM and hub systems and report findings to management and clients.
• Monitor territory and program performance through CRM dashboards, reporting, and customer feedback surveys.
• Research and compile information on providers and manufacturer representatives for the reimbursement database.
• Establish facility databases for new providers.
• Travel as necessary according to client expectations.
• Candidates must reside in the Columbus, OH area.
• A four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare-related reimbursement.
• Strong background in medical reimbursement, specifically with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, claims adjudication, and working in physician offices or clinics.
• Familiarity with Medicare and commercial insurance coverage is essential.
• Ability to deliver and document outcomes of benefit investigations and provide regular status updates.
• Demonstrated presentation skills and experience.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer literacy, particularly in PowerPoint and web meeting platforms.
• Previous field experience is advantageous.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy is a plus.
• Background in account management is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities are essential.
• Must be able to travel 80% of the time—four days a week—by automobile or plane.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record/MVR is necessary.
• Ability to handle long periods of sitting and/or keyboard work.
